Shortcut to red velvet cookies

Guys! You wont believe it if I told you that I randomly woke up at 2am craving some red velvet cookies. Maybe in my dream I saw some or they’ve just been on my mind for a while. I checked my kitchen and I didn’t even have flour, how is this going to work then? I kept checking then i saw a chocolate cake mix box and then my cookies were about to happen. (stacked cookie photo isn’t mine but the milk and cookie photo is mine)

Ingredients

1 Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix

2 eggs

1/2 cup oil

Red food coloring

Method

I poured out the chocolate cake mix powder in a bowl and add the oil and eggs to it. I mixed with a whisk for about 2mins then I added the food coloring and mixed for another minute. (Batter will be very thick)

I then scooped out the batter on to a lined baking tray and baked for 10-12mins on medium heat.

Notes;

If you don’t have a scoop you can use your regular spoon and form balls before baking.

If you also don’t have a baking paper/parchment paper you can use oil greased foil paper.

Enjoy,

xoxo Ummeeta.
